OM4 multi-mode is laser optimized for transmission bandwidth of 40Gbps and 100Gbps. OM4 is highly reliable and optimized for short distance transmission in enterprise and data center environments. OM4 is compatible with multi-mode QSFP transceiver modules. The most common interface for OM4 is MPO/MTP as the transceivers they support have 8 lane configuration.
